Import mini to Denmark

Hi,

First of all, I'm sorry for writing this in English. My Danish is very basic. I hope that's ok.

I am a Belgian living in England, but being married to a Dane, we are planing to move to Denmark in the next couple of years.
I have caught the Mini bug while being in the UK, and I am now dreaming/thinking of an exciting mini project. I want to restore a mini from scratch and while I'm at it I want to swap the engine with a Rover K-series (probably a from a Metro GTI).

Now I have 2 questions.
First off all, I have heard about the registration duty when bringing a car in the country, but I was wondering if anybody has an idea of how it's being calculated. For cars like minis, it's quite difficult to do this on just the year. Do they consider the state of the car? Does anybody have any ideas what values would be for say a 1970s mini?
Do you know anybody who has experience with this?

Second question. How strict is the car "checkup"? Does anybody have experience with fitting a 16v engine in a mini and having it registered in Denmark? Are there any laws are regulations which will make it difficult? What if the car would have been registered in England before?

I know they're long and difficult questions from somebody you have never meet, but I have been looking for this info for a while and I'm a bit stuck. I would hate having to give up a car where I spent a lot of time on because I didn't know the rules.

Hopefully I'll see a few of you at IMM in Roskilde in summer!
;)

Thanks.

Dries.
