Decompression plate Mini

Hi there. I have considered the same set-up... supercharger(kompressor) on my A+ motor. The decompression plate is way of saving money. You MUST reduce the compression of your motor if you fit a supercharger - either fit the plate and use 2 head gaskets (quick, not expensive, and you use your existing head), or you buy the kit with the lower compression head from V-Max (more money), or you have your current head machined to a lower compression (expensive and a pain in the butt). I would go with the decompression plate if you want to save money.
Whatever you decide - let me know because I want to do the same thing! Good luck!

P.S - Sorry this is in English... but I'm sure you understand.

Hey Gary,

Som han skriver : Cost in alloy is 142.00GBP (196.00GBP in copper). Cost of shipping would be approx 20.00GBP to Denmark, availability is within a few days. så det burde ikke være noget problem.

Dude! Too much info me! :o! I would imagine that getting the details correct are critical for a supercharged motor... including compression ratio. I was planning on just buying the kit from Vmax and bolting that baby on :D Are you making your own inlet and exhaust manifolds? These need to be changed/modified to fit the M45 supercharger don't they? If you are... then you are "Ther Man"
Look forward on hearing more...
G.
